Superb achievement - never thought I'd see a GB rider win the TDF in my lifetime and now we could well see Froome have a good go next year and when they sign Jonathan Tiernon Locke serious fireworks...
It makes me feel proud knowing that I have contributed my £80 a month to help pay for it. Seriously though,its a wonderful achievement by Team Sky and Wiggins.
This is huge. Not just the ease with which he has won the tour (absolutely smashed the time trial last night) but also all the other races he has already won this year - nobody has ever won them all in the same year until now.
The guy already has 6 olympic medals (3 gold) with maybe more to come plus world championships. He has reinvented himself to move from track cycling to winning major road races. Apart from Redgrave I struggle to think of anyone we have produced that has achieved so much in their sport.
Have absolutely loved watching the domination of the tour by Brits this year. long may it continue!

If anyone other than wiggins wins it then it would be a travesty, if the miserable jock had won Wimbledon then he might of had a shout. IMHO being the first Brit to win the TDF should make him a shoe in.

Pity the world number 1 golfer, Luke Donald can't win a major. If he had won the Open, he would have been a shout. How can you be number 1 if you can't win the big ones?
