People are innocent until proven guilty. There also needs to be an enquiry into police methods again as once again in terms of why allegations were not looked into in the past. The police were probably too busy covering up other cases in 1970s.

True. "helping with enquirires" could just be asking them if they knew anything, saw anything etc. Not necessarily that they were actively involved.

They did not name him the Sun did. He was first arrested in November and re-arrested last month, obviously well known fact in media circles, so suggests there was a gagging order that expired
