Just read that USA prices are -$40 a barrel effectively traders are being paid $40 for every barrel they buy, so my question is ............ how do I order a million barrels?
favourite cheese mature Cheddar. FFS there is no such thing as the EPL
So even if it dramatically reduces the price at the pump I reckon that I could squeeze a max of another £20-£25 max in to our 1.4L car. I reckon I put petrol in to it over 3 weeks ago maybe more and there is still half a tank. Sod's Law we got a new car recently which replaced my Noddy mobile and I can't enjoy it since end of Feb.
Disclaimer: It's not a Ferrari or an Aston, it just has more than the 72bhp our last effort had.
Loftboy.... that's one hell of a transit you got there.
You could of course use a hedge funder but funnily enough I reckon that's where the transaction would fall over!!
This situation is literally the cherry on the cake of this madness. It's an economic approach only Diane Abbot could dream up..... you come and take this commodity away and I'll pay you to do so. CRAZY.
Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Except it's not crazy socialist Diane Abbott who's dreamt this up at all, is it? It's traders operating on pure free market principles.
Yes, literally the opposite of what you say, Lblock. Under a Socialist fully planned economy the price of oil would be fixed by the Government.
This is a Capitalist free market economy in full effect. It can't really cope with this kind of stress, although it is mainly affecting US oil because of limited storage capability, Brent crude is only being hit by the knock on effect.
Fack me.... there’s no escaping these obsessed left wing miserable bstards is there?
This board is becoming polluted with ideology, gant charts, graphs, links to skewed articles and the intelligentiza who cock a snooty nose glance. Bollox to it.
I know the worlds a tough place at the moment but.....

Call me a humourless bastard if you must, but to make me laugh a joke to work it has to hit the target.
Using Diane Abbott (who I have less than zero time for btw) as the punchline to a joke about supply and demand economics misses by about a million miles.
If you don't like so much politics on here maybe your jokes could avoid gratuitous digs at a left-wing politician. Just a thought.

If there’s any modes of transportation able to take you to FcukoffsVille then please allow me to supplement your journey via First Class.
I just a thick, sarky, right wing capitalist who scratches a living in the Building Industry; Like a bit of football, music, clothes and base line laughs. I cannot compete with you political animals And what’s more I really don’t want to.
I’m off to XTC’s battlecruiser..... a man I can relate to. X

You're a humourless bastard. Just another thought.
My nephew started working as a natural gas trader in Houston about two months ago. In at the deep end... They're all gutted there no underground car parks there because of the flood risk.
The real interesting point here is we all assumed that OPEC set the price with some small adjustments from the markets. What we have learned is that the markets set the price and may or may not adjust that according to how they FEEL their investors, in turn, FEEL on the day about how they think OPEC FEELS. Assuming they know how people FEEL. As it's clearly not based on the real-world!
And by markets I mean traders and big corps, not the people because as we know from experience despite the fact it must be refined, shipped about and the rest of the logistics involved it's more than the barrel cost, it never really seems to go down as fast as it goes up if it ever goes down.
We can now prove that they have no real proper logically planned logistics supply chain. And really its just some tanker trucks loading up and unloading to some depots who may or may not be doing some refining. Storage, wow, no wonder they charge so much.
Some mainstream economists (capitalists) have called this just a "Quirk", like its some sort of technical term and not, in fact, complete mismanagement of the energy part of the economy. Yeah, that's their so-called enlightened official economic mainstream terminology analysis for what happened, a fecking "Quirk".
Now if that ain't a perception of Abbott nonsense talk, then neither is what Abbott has previously said. At least we now know where this loony left Abbott nonsense comes from, mainstream economists and greedy energy companies. After all, it's just a "Quirk" :P
