All very fair, I think.

Thanks as ever.

Thanks Clive. Another match report that hits the nail on the head. Very good point on the injury lists of recent opponents.

Warbs certainly not doing himself any favours with his substitutions and post-match analysis, which seem to contradict his own actions. I’m still just in the “stick” camp, but I’ve certainly moved nearer to “twist” over the past 4 games.

Glad you can still inject some humour in the report though - loved the comment on the BOS miss, “Ward so incredulous that he’d missed that he erroneously awarded a corner”.

Brilliant report, Clive. Considering the subject matter it was a strangely enjoyable read.

Bang on. Great report. If at first you make a mistake, make and make it again.

For me I am looking at the nucleus of a half decent team but it's a League 1 team trapped in the Championship. That's why I saids to stick with Warburton even if we go down because if we can keep most the squad and let's face it most are only just Championship level then they may push on and become a force that then holds its own at this level. That said it really is about staying up if humanly possible and not much else at the moment.

Push for a play-off place anyone?

Never knowingly right.

If there were any other suitable replacements then they should be sought as soon as possible because yesterday we struggled to cope with as basic a team as you will ever see at this level. Dickie has been a major plus so far this season who in spite of his lack of pace and tendency to get handy in the box does actually seem to understand how to defend.
People calling for Ainsworth or Pearson obviously have not seen our squad as we lack a beast of target man centre forward and most of our players are suited to tikki taka football.

I agree with Mykes comments in the report. That it's really not a good time to be replacing a manager. It would most likely mean us recruiting from within, say Eustace.

Clive. I've been thinking about your criticisms of the substitutions - rather than pulling players after 70 mins they should keep them on, get the win and then rest them next game.

Isn't that essentially what Holloway used to do - "tinkering". One of the reasons he was sacked in fact (apart from all the losing runs and being a gobshite..)

Anyway here's hoping for an improvement and most importantly 3 points on Boxing Day. Suddenly a bad run becomes 6 points and 1 loss from 5 games

Poor squad
Lower than average scouting
Old infrastructure and ground
Manager who seems to have lost interest
Ineffective coaching

Merry Christmas one and all......

Poll: Are we staying up?
