Live video steams after covid restrictions eased 09:48 - Feb 7 with 929 viewsnumptydumpty

Just wondering what others think.

Do you think if clubs were allowed to show live streams when things get back normal

Obviously there would potentially be an issue if people chose watching home over attending games

I feel most people who want go and are able, they would attend.

I think if price remained at £10, feel it would hit attendance figures, but say if it was increased to £15 or £20 perhaps, it would be chosen by people who could not attend in first place for whatever reasons.

Ie if it was another income stream for the club.

Do people think it would affect attendances or would it add chances for some to view games. Ie possible season ticket live stream tickets also..

Obviously talking about stream views in this country..

I for one would welcome it. Living now in Wales and with mobility issues I can't attend in person any more.

Maybe not sell individual games which I could see affecting attendances especially in poor weather, but have a season ticket. But I guess issues with Sky would scupper this.

I not sure why sky would object ie if it live on sky they would wish to block but otherwise I can't see why they would object especially if they could show goals as they go in on one of their "Jeff Stelling" type shows.

I go half home games and no away games these days but I would pay for all other games on video streams etc..

Mrs FB and I are senior season ticket holders who live 100 miles from LR. We are looking to carry that on as long as we can be safe driving and then we'll see.

So at the moment we would prefer to go to games as it's a better experience but we have enjoyed being able to watch the streams of the away matches, which we wouldn't usually have attended.

If they had an away season streaming pass, we would definitely sign up.

Maybe they could also look at a home one but restrict access to outside a 50 mile radius. They could also open it up to registered disabled or blue badge holders wherever they live.

An away stream season subscription makes sense

Yes appreciate most people it wont stop them attending - it wouldn't stop myself going about half home games as I usually do.

But yes if people can't get there ie work or family comittments or distance to travel - think it would not greatly affect attendance figures ie nothing like being there in person...

Pointless discussing/lobbying - it will be up to major TV rights holder - at the moment Sky - to decide.
