Fair warning, I'm one of the guests...

Finney regularly makes me feel guilty listening in as I get to the point where I am thinking please stop talking and he then mentions a QPR fan who has died and I feel awful.

Looking at the league table and the games we have coming up, i think those playoff dreams might be over quickly.

Or that dream is very much alive! Show the rest of them what we’re made of.

As I said, watch the mood swing if tomorrow goes badly.

I enjoy the podcast and listen to every episode but I do wish there was more QPR and less Finney, particularly in this last episode. You need to be on there more often Clive

I am a 100% defender of Finney, but for once I have to agree that he was a bit distracting (or distracted?) in this episode. Possibly due to lockdown fever.

Thanks mate that's kind. Mostly it's a time thing, if we've got a midweek game then my workload with day job and LFW is biblical over that week, so don't have time to pod as well, and we play midweek most weeks this season.

I also think it's good when there's a variety of voices, I really enjoyed hearing from Adam this week, not somebody I particularly followed or had heard from before but enjoyed his POV although I didn't necessarily agree with all of it. I've got enough bloody platforms, people don't need to hear me every week on there as well, and I think if you're on too often people get sick of you.

I've also got my own Patreon now, really enjoying doing the interviews for that for myself, so would rather focus on that, getting content to you guys who've supported me. I find the pod interviews quite frustrating sometimes (I've told David this personally so I'm not telling tales out of school here), with everybody interjecting with their own questions they kind of bounce all over the place and don't have a flow or structure. You could be travelling down one road with Shaun Derry talking about Mark Hughes, but then suddenyl somebody else wants to talk about beating Chelsea, or working with Adel, so it swerves off in another direction. I personally think the interviews should be recorded seperately, with one interviewer, and edited, then cut into the show, but that's just personal preference I guess. The round table doesn't work for me, particularly now it's on Zoom.

The other major thing, apart from the time, is the social media side of appearing on that show is absolutely horrendous. A year or so back I was at my wits end with the social media thing. There was a game against Middlesbrough at home where one of the QPR twitter trolls followed me to the game, sat near me and live Tweeted my behaviour, and then after the match started DMing one of my mates saying i'd been copping off with his wife during the game. That's the sort of sht you have to put up with if you dare to run a QPR website or appear on a podcast - happy to try and break up a marriage for shts and giggles because you don't like a guy's blog. While it mostly comes from three or four sock puppet accounts run by the same raving weirdo you are increasingly seeing these accounts followed, retweeted and lorded by genuine QPR fans who I do know, and do see at away games. I've seen a thread accusing me of attending the lockdown games, sitting in the VIP seats, and sht like that (all untrue needless to say) retweeted by actual QPR fans as "important thread" and things like that.

I've done a good job over the last year of restricting my Twitter to basically jokes and links back to this site, never give an opinion on there because it aint worth the bother. I've also gone on a mass block and mute which has made it bearable (before anybody says, it diverts a lot of traffic to this site that I rely on otherwise I would delete it). But you go on that podcast and it all increases ten fold. You also get lumped in and associated with comments made by the other regulars. I'm mates with Finney, Flo, Chris, David, but that doesn't mean I agree with what they say and Tweet, and yet you appear on their podcast as a guest and you get lumped in with them. So Flo or Finney Tweet something daft, or David gets stuck into Jeremy Corbyn, and suddenly it's "the QPR pod thinks" and "the podcasters say", when I often don't think the same as them at all.

So, yeh, overall, I'm quite happy to dip in and out every six weeks or so.

Great show as always. I love chris Charles to bits but and this might sound a bit pedantic. Watord, Qpr is not a London Derby.
The reason I say this is , I moved to Watford to get out of London. I love London but I work there everyday and thats enough.
Sorry if this sounds churlish!!

Yeah enjoy listening to the POD.

Felt there wasn’t much to gain by highlighting the Manager and Charlie‘s relationship. They’ve both spoken well of each other so although clearly Tony F had a role to play in his return I don’t think Warbs is unhappy about it. Clearly after the game he was trying to recognise everyone’s contributions and not just Charlie’s- to me there was nothing more to read into than that - so the fact he failed to go over board in his praise of Austin as evidence their relationship is not the best seemed a bit unnecessary if I’m honest.

Going on the social media world we live in more and more people jump on these kind of things and then a nothing incident starts becoming something. We got a great result, we’re improving, let’s not try and muddy the relationship between our best striker and Manager until we have a bit more evidence of it than a perfectly reasonable post match assessment. Although the observation was made by the new guy on the pod last week I did think he was decent with his contributions just on this point I thought wasn’t worth covering.

Blimey Clive, people actually go out of their way to STALK you. That's seriously messed up. I'd buy you a pint of appreciation if I bunped into you in the pub or came across you at a game but that's it. Following you round, making rumours up about you.,that's just weird. There are some seriously socially challenged people out there if they have to weaponise social media and even worse bring that into real life.

Having read some FB and Twitter 'fans' though, I'm sadly not that surprised.

It was a good pod and Adam was a good guest.

I'd tend to agree with you on the interviews but I'm not complaining as I do love hearing the guests.

That particular pod teed things up nicely for yesterday's game.

God, it's been such a great week for me - 2 x fantastic wins for QPR and Scotland get to take the Egg Cup home.

I get somewhat sneered at at work sometimes for not supporting a "proper" team. The same people never go to see "their" team actually play - it's always Pool, City, Utd, Arse, Lokomotiv SW or Spuds. The same people also tend to talk about rugby a fair bit.

I bet they can't wait for me to join the 9am sales call tomorrow morning.

LOL.

Sounds like you need a minder.
