Trainsplit normally have the cheapest fares, but not always the most direct route.
I just looked for myself and I can get a return from stowmarket via London for £29 with a senior railcard, but I don’t know whether Sky will get involved or not.

Been in the 80s, 90s and 00s and it’s yet to evolve much since the Neanderthal era.

Remember a match being postponed because of damage to the main stand due to a earth tremor back in the 70’s.

When I went a few years ago the train was fairly quick/cheap from London and there are match day buses taking you straight to the station (think that cost a few quid each way).

Never use Trainline - they charge an admin fee

For those going by car, I would sugest parking at the Crown Green Club car park (sorry, I can't remember the name of the club) just off the opposite side of the A51(?).

We parked there for MW's first game & were welcomed to use their clubhouse. We did have to pay for football membership of the club at the princely price of £2, but pints of trad bitter (good choice of ales) were priced around the £3 per pint.

About a 20 minute walk to the ground & easy to get in & out of Stoke.
