24 now and has been really unlucky with injuries. He's definitely a baller if he can stay fit. One year to prove it hopefully.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

I'm a tad surprised but, as you say, his dreadful luck has meant he's never really had a chance to show what he can do. He'll be on low wages so little risk there, so it'll be a case of seeing whether he's seen good enough for a place in the first team squad. If so, I'd guess he'll be cover for Amos.

Just Odubajo's contract to sort out now.

Similar situation with Shodipo. Both talented young players, both beset by injuries. Last chance saloon for both I suspect

Unless he is seen as a back up for Sam Field, not sure about this as we already have enough midfielders. Would rather see the wages spent on a lower league youngster as a gamble.

Shodipo is different in that right now we're light on wingers...

Can we go out yet?

It depends on the formation Beale plays. If, as we suspect, it's mainly 433, at this point in time we've got 5 players for the two wide attacking positions: Ilias Chair, Chris Willock, George Thomas, Albert Adomah and Mide Shodipo - with Thomas, Adomah and Shodipo actual wingers.

If Owens makes the squad, I think we'll still need another CM and probably one who'd cover for Field as I think Owens is more a box to box player.

I have only seen Owens play twice last season and would describe him positionally similar to Field but with a better range of passing.
I’m reasonably happy he’s being given a contract as he’s a tenacious type of player that could realistically be part of the first team squad.
