Anyone watched this series (Paramount)? Bloody marvellous.

Poll: Kitchen threads or polls?

I watched it over the holidays and thoroughly enjoyed it, found the first couple of episodes a bit slow going but glad I persevered. Kaleidoscope is a good watch too.

Sorry I thought this was a thread about the last time we scored in open play at the Loft end.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

As is Yellowstone. Absolute quality.

Watching 1923 at the moment. Not as good as 1883 and Harrison Ford not giving a good performance. Weakest of the bunch and given a second season I believe

But Yellowstone. Brilliant

Watched 1899 on Netflix, which was weirdly enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the look of it, though they could have cut ten episodes to six without affecting the story telling. The two guides and the cowboys are lifted fairly closely from Larry McMurtry’s “Lonesome Dove”, which is an epic read in its own right.

I read a fascinating article about the Yellowstone Universe, which is the only big hit Paramount Plus has and is massively important to its future. Taylor Sheridan writes everything instead of a team and they film it as fast as he bangs them out, for whatever it costs. They have multiple film crews permanently on location across Montana and Utah filming one version or another, including two at different Dutton ranches. As they are still filming the final episodes while the first of a series have already gone on air, they’re out at work even through forest fires and sub zero temperatures.

Cancelled after one season…hate it when they do that.

Should maybe ask Netflix to apply it to some of our players contracts……

Spoiler Alerts!!!!

I can’t see how they are going to survive the winter. They arrived in mid-October at the earliest. They’ve got about four weeks before snow comes to:
Build a house
Build a barn
Cut enough wood for the above tasks and to heat them to March/April
Cut enough fodder to keep six or more horses alive
Find enough food for themselves.
There’s just Mr and Mrs, a small boy and maybe one-legged Josef, who’s definitely going to die on his own, to do all the jobs they should’ve started in June. Unless there’s a Walmart and a Home Depot in the next valley, they’re doomed.
