Absolutely incredible. A double century in an ODI on one leg!

I remember Tiger Woods winning The Open on one leg in 2008 but this almost eclipses that.

Never knowingly right.

Oh god, I'd better avoid the local media today then.

That was astonishing, even more so as he had been dropped (an absolute dolly!) and survived two LBW reviews. I started watching it when I heard that the Afghans were on the brink of victory at 97 for 6 - then he got going with incredible versatility without moving his feet and barely able to run between wickets.

It quite often happens like that and most great Innings begin with a let off of some kind.

It happened to me in a match this summer actually (stop it). I arrived a bit late after a long drive and had to get quickly changed and padded up and then head straight out to the crease, as I was opening the batting. I normally face first ball and looked up to see some built south asian chap hurtling towards me. Now often (at my level) this sort of player has more bark than bite but not on this occasion and in the first over the ball came whistling down the wicket at various heights and lengths. I dealt with all ok except one ball which looped up off my bat back down the wicket. The bowler gleefully went after it but made a complete hash of a fairly simple catch, with the ball bouncing off his chest to safety. After this reprieve there was no looking back and I went on to reach a nice total of 49, smashing ten 4’s in the process before edging behind to the wicket keeper

Scoring on one leg and 200 unbeaten partnership with Cummins contributing 12 !!!

A cricketing "Roy of the Rovers" performance...

Walking in a "Mackie Wonderland"
