Yeah I watched the interview with Ainsworth this morning where he said exactly that but what doesn't make sense is you rotate your reserve striker out of the squad for a Cup game when it was exactly the sort of game he should be either starting or at a minimum on the bench, so not convinced by Gareth's answer I think it was the politically correct thing to say when put on the spot.....  | | | |
