Just got off the phone and very sad to say that Chuck Norris has died. Is anyone else planning on going to the funeral?
The service is at East Finchley Cemetery. I will probably travel across on the day and stay with family overnight. Afterwards, there will be drinks and a spread at Whetstone Cricket Club, where Chuck opened the batting and kept wicket between 1994-1998.
His family have asked for people to wear Karate outfits. Everyone is invited to take part in a nunchucks display on the cricket club outfield after the service. No shoes and no flowers, but the family would welcome donations to the RNLI.

The date/timings are unknown at the moment but I will confirm details once I have an update. I am afraid that the family feel it would be inappropriate for mourners to wear any footwear at the funeral, in keeping with Karate etiquette. They are keen that the service should be a celebration of Chuck's life and have asked that with the exception of black belts, guests do not wear black clothing. | |
