I noticed the club are auctioning off the pennant given to us by Weiner Neustadt before the recent pre-season friendly. Is it me or does that feel a little bit off? It's one thing to flog signed shirts and photos etc but that pennant represents a game we played, albeit only a pre-season one, but still a game we played. I'd have thought we'd keep stuff like that even if it's just in a box somewhere. I'm sure the £100 they get for it will be really useful to a club that loses £500,000 a week. Doesn’t sit right with me either, particularly if these pennants commemorate a particular game and have something unique about them. Not so bad, I suppose, if it’s just a bog standard piece of tat out of their club shop.
