Train tickets 09:03 - Aug 19 with 2525 views

Has anyone else found that train ticket prices in November are not being reduced?I can buy a cheap day return to London on October 30th for £14.60 with my railcard,but it’s £37 from October 31st onwards.
Normally the prices are best if you book up 12 weeks in advance but that isn’t happening at the minute.I’ve visited several websites,and it seems the same prices keep showing up.

Doesn't explain it, but shows Greater Anglia haven't put their "Advance" November tickets on sale yet. Most other rail companies appear to have done so.

I use Trainline to buy my tickets and if the super advanced savers haven't been released yet you can set up an alert and get an email when they are - had one this week for first weekend in November for Lincoln game. Each company probably release them at different times - mine are for Avanti Birmingham to Euston

I use Trainline to buy my tickets and if the super advanced savers haven't been released yet you can set up an alert and get an email when they are - had one this week for first weekend in November for Lincoln game. Each company probably release them at different times - mine are for Avanti Birmingham to Euston

I’ve generally used Trainline in the past but more recently just to check their prices for advanced tickets and, armed with that information, get paper tickets printed off at any ticket office when I’m passing. It’s always the same price but saves on the booking fee (not much, I know, but every little helps!)

Not to everyone’s taste but if you book trains through Uber they do the split ticket thing and give 10% back in credits for future trains/cabs/food.

Not sure if this should have its own thread but for West Brom away, Chiltern Railways have engineering works.

So this discounts the scenic (cheaper) route to Birmingham from Marylebone.

West Midlands trains from Euston to New St are very cheap but takes nearly two and a half hours, stopping at every station - not great for a 12.30 kick off. Luckily that ones just down the Rd for me

I don’t think it’s any different from other split ticket sites. Use it for my commute and it’s the same but then the 10% they give you in credits. Just had a look and maybe that’s a temporary thing but if they want to try and knock Trainline out of business I can live with it.
