True, he can easily afford to pay others to do it for him.

In law an offensive weapon is defined as "any article made or adapted for use to causing injury to the person, or intended by the person having it with him for such use". This would include for instance, a bottle that he had been drinking out of that is then brandished aggressively during a confrontation. It doesn't mean Puncheon is walking around with knuckle dusters in his pocket. [Post edited 18 Dec 2017 15:00]

Seeing as the fracas took place some 50 meters outside of the establishment in the wee hours, it’s more probable I’d suggest, that he was carrying something naughty, as opposed to inadvertently finding himself wandering around outside with his martini glass and walking into a couple of wrong ‘uns! Either way he played for us, so no doubt we’ll see a points deduction and/or increase in the FFP.

If it was a knife then he should be kicked out of football for life and spend a few years in jail. Utter bell end.

Pure conjecture. At the moment all we know is that he has been charged, so making assumptions time or distance from the venue is all nonsense speculation. Re: Croydon, I highly doubt it was a knife. If it had been a knife it he would have been charged with possession of pointed/bladed article. It is a separate offence that removes the element of intention to cause injury, making it a lot easier to secure a conviction.
