PSA - Driving to Nottingham 19:26 - Feb 21 with 1691 viewsslmrstid

For those travelling to Forest tomorrow by car, couple of things to be aware of:-

1. The city is hosting the English National Cross Country Championships tomorrow at Wollaton Park. This is approx 3-4 miles from the City Ground, but central enough to the city to impact traffic heading in and out!

2 - I've also been told via a family member who lives near Nottingham that there are quite big roadworks somewhere around Clifton on the A52 coming off the M1 so that could be messy also.

Safe travels one and all! Nice easy away trip for me this one - 20 minute walk from home to Leicester train station - £12.10 return to Nottingham and 30 minute train, 20 minute walk to the ground.

Then a dispiriting defeat/encouraging draw/triumphant victory (delete as appropriate) then back again.

The Clifton bridge issue has caused major problems.

So whilst the A453 in from Jct 24 has been by far the best option since it went dual carriageway a few years back, you may want to opt for Jct 21a then using the A46 in, as older fans may have done in the past.

I’m up here delivering in Newark and it’s getting a bit breezy here, and it’s supposed to get worse as the night goes on.
Safe travel to all those going to the game tomorrow.

I once knew a bloke from Newark. Brian Smith was his name, drank down the Windsor Castle on the Harrow Rd. Notts County fan he said, until Forest started winning everything. Then he got nicked for stealing women’s underwear off a washing line in Wembley.

After the last two weekends and storm ciara and Dennis, let’s hope that storm Eze strikes at the city ground between 3-5pm today.
