Asleep at the wheel — Preview on 12:19 - Jul 8 with 1447 views | PinnerPaul | Cheers Clive, although I am sceptical on the betting scam theory for all sorts of reasons, agree 100% about the 'inconsistency', to put it mildly, of the EFL's 'governance' policies.
Asleep at the wheel — Preview on 12:24 - Jul 8 with 1433 views | Noelmc | Great preview Clive. Spot on about our improvement this season and what a 'shower' the powers at the EFL are. As usual your team news provided a LOL moment, 'We’re now perilously close — maybe three or four more injuries — to being forced to give minutes to Jack Clarke'. I hope the game is half as entertaining.

Asleep at the wheel — Preview on 12:49 - Jul 8 with 1356 views | R_from_afar | There, in one short piece, you have the reasons why the EFL is a toothless, ineffective joke organisation. They are an embarrassment and are idly standing by while the football clubs they are supposed to provide support to hurtle inexorably towards oblivion. Great work EFL
| "Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1." |

Asleep at the wheel — Preview on 16:06 - Jul 8 with 962 views | TheChef | Great stuff Clive. For some reason I hoped with Parry taking over from Harvey, that things might improve at the EFL but sadly not. But then who is the EFL accountable to? Unless the clubs protest or take some kind of action then these problems will remain - yet the clubs seem unwilling to do so.

Firstly he hasn't been there long tbf to him, maybe he will reform, but it's not a good start. Secondly he's chairman, Harvey was CEO, the new CEO is David Baldwin, previously CEO at tightly run ship Burnley, which in itself is a step up from hiring Harvey after he'd led two clubs into three administrations. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The governing body is itself not fit for purpose. Your report highlights that "International Entertainment and Next Leader are both being represented by the same UK lawyers", a situation which again is a common denominator in facilitating these types of sham transactions. Providers of these types of professional services are the enablers who legitimize these types of deals. They too need to be held accountable for their actions.
