Another fine singer has left us......

Many a time I had a pretty girl in my arms dancing to this song, thank you Johnny.

RIP.

Just telling the wife, you don’t need news channels when you’re on LFW.

The ‘tut’ suggests she isn’t convinced.

After Toots recently, Jamaica and the world of ska/reggae loses another great star. Had the art of smooth reggae down to perfection. RIP

There aint half been some clever bastards.

I was surprised to read he was actually from Texas!

One of my first records, Brian - this was the B-side to "I can see clearly now."

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

The reason you didn't know that is because I spoke with forked tongue. It was the B side to "More questions than answers."

Yes you are right Mr Sheen. Pardon my mistake, but I was in a bit of a dash when posting my wee obituary. He was the first US artist to record in Kingston, Jamaica, quite unique at the time considering he could have gone down the soul or blues route in America had he wished.

Not nit-picking, I was surprised for the same reason. Apparently he was a TV actor before he became a singer, no surprise looking at him. Could have done a lot of different things.
