Rodders looks ecstatic.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Found this - we won it FIVE times and probably would have been 6 if Stan hadn't taken a bung! Never heard THAT story before!

Although with Stan you could never be sure if he wasn't just winding everyone up with these sort of tales!

Wow, that team would have won any 5-a-side tournament, ever.

I remember the 1985 edition well. Beer glasses (mainly plastic) everywhere. Also vaguely remember the semi-final against Charlton (?) being a classic.

Attended all the 80s Tournaments and particularily remember the 85 one especially beating Brentford in the first round with Ian Dawes scoring with a header

I went to Wembley Arena for this a couple of times in the 90s.
Don't remember much about it other than Bardsley was the star man for us and I remember lots of loudmouth Spurs fans who arrogantly thought that all they needed to do was turn up and they'd automatically win it by being such a massive club.

I hear a cage rattling somewhere.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Just looked this up and we won 5 times (more than anyone else) and lost in 2 finals. I went in 1976, the year we lost 6-1 to Orient in the final. Ouch!

Laurie Cunningham was the player of the tournament.

Early on in the competitions history the prizemoney was 3/4/5 hundred quid total for the team that competed, they often sharing the money with the rest of the squad. Those were the days clubs trained in the public bar.
