I'm a huge Killers fan, and this song for me is one of Brandon Flowers' finest. Written about the death of his mum (one of two songs on Day & Age about the death of a parent, the album closer "Goodnight, Travel Well" being the other) and telling the story of his parents love and not wanting to say goodbye.
Features the wonderful lyric of "Now Cinderella don't you go to sleep, its such a bitter form of refuge, and cant you see the kingdom's under siege, and everybody needs you"
Sang quite polished in the recorded version, but live Flowers generally puts a big emphasis on "everybody" and "you" that you can definitely hear the pain and losing a loved one.

Hey Metalica loved Carolus Rex, any idea which movie they used for the video.
Love Ode to Joy Beethoven No9 if that counts
Found it The Sovereigns Servant
4.0 out of 5 stars Lacks depth but looks great Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 January 2018 Verified Purchase A gorgeous-looking film in many ways, with brilliant costumes, commendable attention to detail, and great battle scenes. The plot itself is fine in theory, but more could have been made of the two Frenchmen sent abroad by Louis XIV: they rapidly fade into the background, while attention falls on a host of less intriguing characters. The main Russian protagonist who dominates the film is not a particularly sympathetic character and cannot stop the film from being somewhat insipid and one-dimensional (subtitles do not help). This is a Russian film, and like many of its ilk, is politically motivated: the Poles are negatively stereotyped here. For all its faults, this film is worth watching for the look and feel of Great Northern War Europe, if nothing else.

Have you seen Barry Lyndon? Might be up your street if you've not yet.
