Minus goal difference 23:39 - Mar 10 with 1464 views

This great run since the New Year is making me greedy. I am fed-up with always having a minus goal difference. Despite all our good results lately we are still minus 4. Don't think we have been in plus goal difference since we beat Forest on the first day. Would love to give someone a good tonking to at least get it to 0

I have to admit that after the match on Tuesday I was trying to work out how often we've had a +GD under Warburton. By my calculations we did for two weeks at the start of 2019-20 and for one week at the start of this season.

For all the good vibes right now that is quite poor.

Would be our best league position and best GD since we last came down. Last season is already our 2nd best league position and GD since we came down, only beaten by the first season down when we still had Charlie Austin for the first half of it.

For all the jokes about always finishing 16th we have made limited but clearly measurable progress under Warburton year on year (so far).

Oh for the days of having a plus 39 gd like winning the Championship or even plus 16 in the play off season. Seems to have been negative for the past 6 years.

This time last season we’d scored 51 goals and had a -7 goal difference.
Imagine last seasons strike force with this seasons defence we’d have a +12 goal difference!
Wonder where that’ll put us in the league?
