The 1970s was to popular music what the 1870s was to the industrial revolution.

Two that reflect cultural changes of the decade.

Firstly....the working classes travelling abroad in large numbers

Secondly ... Bowie who influenced so much of what was to come

There is an appropriately feline swagger to this classic from the attic. Well, I like it anyway.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

These chaps were pretty obscure and forgotten now but I saw them live in the early 70s and they were terrific. Sadly, I don't think the couple of albums they released did them justice.
Problem was, the 70s were the most prolific times for bands and some inevitably got overlooked.
I pulled up at the lights one hot day this summer and was amazed to hear Seatrain being played in the car next to me. I bibbed my horn and shouted “ Oi, Seatrain ! “ the driver gave me the thumbs up.
So, probably the only two Seatrain fans parted company when the lights changed.

Cheers for this band.

A bit of Baroque on two tracks that sounded great I'm going to check out more tomorrow.
