Field- How many lungs has he actually got? 17:37 - Dec 17 with 2997 viewsextratimeR

Field today - everywhere, tackling, carrying, chasing down, shooting at goal, building from back/middle/front.

( and er their was Jimmy Dunne, everything plus additional "Hello's" to Preston players.

Iroegbunam, ( best in months), Lyndon, frightened the life out of Preston's Centre Halfs, ( Bottlers).

Good luck this week Clive with the MOM!

Sam Field has been our most consistent player so far this season. And consistently good to excellent. What a fantastic signing he's turned out to be.

And I'm delighted he's captaining the team too. A real example to all the other players.

He as great but MoM for me was JCS, I was impressed, he won almost everything.

Really no one had a bad performance. Dozzell could have impacted the game more in the 2nd half but that's about it.

We were also really good at defending corners, even with PNE trying a trick corner in the first half, we managed to defend it easily.

zzzzzzzzzz

Hard to pick a Motm. The whole defence in with a shout and Field immense. Also thought Tim was top class driving forward and unlucky not to score. Dykes led the line well.

Good luck to Clive picking a winner!

Sam too good… loved that bit where he went after woodburn who I thought left his foot in on Kenny P. Top player and a leader

Thought if anything, quite a few of our players dragged themselves up to the level of Sam Field today and it really showed. I wish JCS would be a 46 game a season player because he is an excellent centre back

Always surprised when our assets that could raise much needed cash, its Willock, Chair. Dickie and Dieng mentioned.

Field is still young also.

Very strange sale by West Brom. And think Austin encouraged the move to Field also.

Generally decent and always puts in a shift.

Nearly scored today also...

Field was free, not a sale.... makes it even more bizarre when you think about West Brom's last two and a bit seasons.

As for Lyndon, imagine what more he could have done to those Lilly livered Preston Centre halves if he hadn't got that early booking.;

As I've said before I think it makes sense when you know that big fat Sam was the manager.

In fairness Sam Field had had some injury issues, but still a cracking bit of business from us.

Field was signed for an 'undisclosed fee' according to Offy. Was more than likely cheaper than any compensation due.

Wasn't free mate, don't know the fee (one of several bated breath moments in this next set of accounts) but he was under contract and West Brom let him go for whatever we paid which, as you say, is bizarre. They've got Mowatt out on loan while they pick Livermore and Molumby as well. Odd place.

I thought he was excellent yesterday. Played a real "captain's game." I hope he keeps the armband permanently as it seems pretty clear Jojo's running out of road. The added responsibility might help him cut down on the cards too.
