On the balance of chances you have to say they deserved it, but not really like that and we had 2 chances to clear the ball as well.

We had the same number of chances. A few of ours didn't look as good as we had some unlucky deflections (as well as one lucky one, but then so did they).
I think we certainly looked better than them for a longer period of the match and created better chances until the last fifteen minutes when we got too nervy after such a bad run. If we hadn't dropped so deep we probably would have won but I understand why we didn't. The risk of going for a win and then conceding two more was too great. We needed some kind of result. They're flying at the top of the League so have that confidence, plus had nothing to lose away from home 0-1 down. |  | | |

Just watched the extended highlights on Sky, and read through the various threads on here from last night.
Can't be anything but disappointed with a late leveller, but agree with Critchley that the players will take positives after 24-48 hours. |  |

I agree that Armstrong would have been a decent shout. I honestly think if we'd won the last three games, he would have put him on. Amos isn't match fit, I'd like to think when he's up to speed he'll show more but we'll see. I can see why he put Albert on as he has managed to hang onto possession in the past for us in this situation but you're right about the pace and in hindsight was probably not the right choice.
I think we're pretty much all in agreement that we haven't got the bench that would get us through matches like that all season. With a couple of injuries, our squad aren't all match fit at the same time, meaning they can't last 90 minutes or come in to make an impact. So if Laird had been available, Kakay could have come on with fresh legs. Or if Johansen had been available, Tim could have come on for the last portion of the match. Or JCS for Jimmy.
I was thinking maybe Richards for Willock, as he does have that extra pace and can get through lines.
But really it's our poor recent form that lost us that win. We'd have been much braver than sitting in our own box from practically the 75th minute, which invited all the pressure. | | | |
