Years ago when Nigel Spackman was manager of Barnsley he was sacked. On the old dot org board someone posted a thread that Spackman Sacked, this was followed by about 3/4 other people starting the same thread and then a few hours later someone else thought they were breaking the news so it just sort of grew from there. By the way, it was only one new thread, started by Tracy, that gave birth to the Spackman, not lots of threads.
