Our wingers, take notice. For how many years now have some of us spoken about trying to sign him? He was available. He was within our ball park price wise. Feels like one of those obvious players we should have signed. Just looked up. He was dropped from West Ham’s academy at 16, and then played non-league for Boreham Wood until Jan 2021. We really should have picked him up at either of those points if we were on it. Failing that, when Huddersfield were relegated, he stood out as an obvious player to pick off. Shame we didn’t.

Couldn't agree more. If my poor memory serves me correctly, he has been discussed on here ever since the time we played Boreham Wood in a pre-season friendly quite a few years ago, before he was then signed by Huddersfield! Credit to Thomas for scaling the many rungs of the football ladder to now becoming one of the best players in the championship. What I like about his game is that he is genuinely two-footed and can play on either flank. If he has managed to master that skill from non-league beginnings, then there are no excuses for the majority of our wide players to be so deficient in this area. By all accounts, Stoke paid no more than £2m for his signature. Wow. [Post edited 16 Jan 8:17]

if only he would have had an australian passport , same feeling about tommorow , we will set up the usual way prob hadyn alongside madson who badly needs a rest before his hamstring sucumbs to yet another impact injury. its a game when we pack the midfield for the first half and pray to keep it close by half time for me . thomas will always be another of the ones who got away for us
