Should they have had two red cards today? Ayew for multiple offences and the player who literally flung an arm at Saito. They should have had multiple yellow cards by half time. Ref was very lenient towards them I thought.

I thought the ref had a shocker today... Mbengue must have been fouled 4 or 5 times by Mavididi and nothing.... Mavididi was very petulant simply because Mbengue had him all afternoon

And there was a lot of niggling fouls all that first half... borne out of frustration

Yes but the ref did make sure Madsen moved the ball back for a first half free kick three times a foot at a time.

I thought the ref did really well and was one of the best for a while. Got most things right and let the game flow. Thought he gave us a couple of decisions and even calmed Mbengue down, saving him from a yellow. Mbengue, once again won his battle.

My typically daft observation is that the scoreboard operator clearly wasn’t expecting Saito’s early goal (much like the rest of us I suspect). It was at least four more minutes before it registered on the screen!

I thought he got the flow of the game right, and he must be relieved he obviously couldn’t hear Bobby DCR’s non-stop whining.

Ayew holding his face…none of his own team seemed at all sympathetic!

Totally agree.

Think the ref sussed that Mbengue can look after himself, their 10 melted in the end.

Leicester reminded me of us when we were weak, petulant fouls because they just couldn’t cope physically.

Personally I thought Leicester stunk the place out. Clive made mention of them having wages delayed and it definitely looked to me like they had downed tools. They were appalling. gutted they got a goal - which should have been disallowed as their player had encroached into the area before the spot kick. They didn't even deserve nil.

Enough of them. We have got something going here. When's the last time we'd have rebounded from an away gubbing with a win? We've done it twice now. The mentality of the team is slowly hardening, we are beginning to show more aggression at home which has been lacking for years. I like Mbengue's attitude in particular, but Kone, Burrell, Dunne are also displaying that "not in my back yard" obduracy.

I find myself in the strange position of feeling like we could make the play offs, but I really don't want us to go up. I think we're maybe another three seasons away from potentially having a squad that could get promoted and reasonably expeot to stay up. We do need more physical presence and acquiring the players to add that won't happen overnight. But I'm really enjoying the ride for now.

The ref was a bit lenient, especially with Mavadidi, Ayew and Pereira(?) when he clocked Koki. But I'd rather have that than a Stroud brandishing cards while losing all control.

Also think the ref was pretty good. Didn't buy the pathetic attempt from Ayew early in the second half claiming he had been elbowed.

Got the major decisions correct, let the game flow, didn't really notice his whistle and just the one yellow - think it's one of the better performances from a ref this season - just seemed to use common sense rather than being pernickety
