| Festive fixtures 22:29 - Dec 20 with 1738 views | Beckenhamhoop | Four games coming up over Christmas and the New Year and I think we could do very well out of it. Travel distance to Portsmouth and West Brom isn’t too bad. I’d fancy us against almost anyone at home atm and the fact we’re at home for the two games in three days is also a blessing. Norwich aren’t pulling up any trees and Sheff Wed should be as close to a three point banker as we could wish for. We’re also going into it off the back of our best win of the season. The depth of squad we have should be a definite advantage over teams that aren’t so well endowed and our injury situation is also minimal at the moment. So, Shirley it’s all heading in one direction! | | | | |

| Festive fixtures on 22:38 - Dec 20 with 1663 views | Beckenhamhoop | I’m trying to contain an overwhelming sense of optimism about these 4 games. This is not a natural state of affairs for me and I’m finding it quite unsettling. | | | |

I think we have Christmassed pretty well last two festive seasons after such horrendous starts to the seasons. | | | |

I know, I know but name me a more winnable fixture this season? If we do win the next 4 games then I’d expect the ‘Could we go up this season’ thread to go stratospherical. [Post edited 21 Dec 10:43]

| Festive fixtures on 13:41 - Dec 21 with 980 views | terryb | The problem is that three of the four games are against teams in the bottom four. We've not played Portsmouth yet, but we're yet to beat any of the three we've faced! I would feel more confident if the games were against Stoke, Preston, Hull etc. And if we were at home on Boxing Day! Am I right in thinking that our last away win on Boxing Day was a 1-0 iwin n 1967 at Plymouth, courtesy of a Rodney penalty? | | | |

| Festive fixtures on 09:47 - Dec 23 with 69 views | BlackAndGoldRanger | Does anyone know if there is a reason we are always away on Boxing day? Especially recently. We've been at home twice on boxing day (and once on 27th) in the last 10 years. 1 of those was behind closed doors during covid. Surely it should be on a rotation of some kind. This year there's only 1 prem game too (Ooop North) so not like there's a policing issue around loads of football. Is it a council thing? A club choice? Or just luck of the draw? | | | |
