A few notes from Saturday:
The wonder of removing bottle caps from water bottles at the turnstile and then selling water with bottle caps at the kiosk.
Paul Smyth was also in the away end, chatting and taking selfies with fans.
Possibly the best pie I've ever had at football; the bombay potato pie was gorgeous.
Seeing the bloke in front of me scrolling through LFW on his mobile during the game.
The bogs were the most evil-smelling I've ever had to walk past, and probably the reason there were so many bástard flies. |  |

Flies is due to a wasp shortage believe it or not. Unusually cold March followed by a drought = no wasps which in turn = more fly larvae.
While walking around the garden in bare feet thinking about what to say to Gab Sutton last week I did, however, tread on a wasp and spent the weekend with one foot twice the size of the other.

One negative I've took out of the 2 pre season games I've seen is that we look very vulnerable to a high hanging cross into the box. Both keepers lovely on the ball but very Paul Nardi like dealing with crosses. Will be interesting to see how they get on when the proper stuff starts |  | | |
