I agree 100% with Clint re the warm up.

I never, ever cut a corner in training and always gave 100% on the pitch in every match, but pre-match warm up i felt was counter productive for me personally, just taking energy away which was better spent later. Warm ups are massively overrated.

Impressive Baggies return Rangers to earth - Report
at 00:49:55

Comfortable? Hmmm, i take your point, but West Brom hadn't really looked like scoring. We probably only lost once again because of Joe's costly error, unfortunately. He'll be very lucky if he's starting the next match, this was definitely one too many mistakes imo.

No shots in 90, though...not brilliant.

And yeah, Leistner seems ok with the ball. He's been playing well. Hard not to like Toni.

Let's not forget, West Brom hadn't looked like scoring until Joe had his stinker.

Pressure.

A home win to go top of the table...instead of playing without too much pressure, there was a lot resting on this. I thought it showed, nobody was great with the ball for us.

It'll be interesting to see how we respond.

Saying 'we all know Joe can't play with the ball at his feet', pardon me but that's such an unjust comment. Joe's ability with his feet and his distribution have been a class above almost every goalkeeper i've ever watched! It's precisely because he plays casually as an outfield player that he's made a few bad howlers. He's got excellent distribution. No way can he be called rubbish at it, that's just not the case, he's good with the ball, first time to feet. Better distribution than any 'keeper i played with. If you're playing first time passes to feet, you've got to be exceptional to avoid the odd mistake, particularly on the tightest pitch in the country. I count it as very much a strength of his, even if a few recent blunders suggest otherwise.

Rarely can i recall a more positive match report involving QPR. Equally welcome and unexpected.

I wonder if somebody should ask Mark Warburton if he has any ideas for sorting out the Brexit debacle?

I liked Nahki last year. Would be happy to have him as our lone striker this year.

Can't see where he's going to play now, though? Or if he does, that's one of our QPR youngsters screwed presumably. I'd love to know the wages, please let them not be too high. Team ain't big enough for him and Hugill. Who to be fair, was excellent and important for us in week 1. Also, that was a good finish from Hugill, that was no simple tap in.

'Rangers couldn't have played any better in the opening half'

Would you Adam and Eve it? What odds beforehand for reading that line in the match report?

Ps People criticising Bright's end product?! He's slashed badly at a couple, i'll grant you, but to me, he's looked like consistently our most potent threat in terms of creating chances or scoring for the last couple of years, after cool Hand Luke, of course. People should have been more vocal in criticising his perplexing lack of game time rather than his profligacy. He's only young, he's a winger and he's been poorly managed so far, so we can forgive him a few wild swings. In Bright, Eze, Chair we have a few genuinely exciting attacking players, wahay!
