Same old same old - another game another load of changes !!
I say all the time that we always carry players and yesterday was no exception.
Static defence should have raised the alarm early on, but we didn't need the warning. Yoshi isn't capable of playing as a man marker. He has cost us so much in recent games - Hudd, Arse, Burn, the foul for the Chelsea free kick goal, then there are the key misses at the other end - Hudd, Man City and Swans and only has the West Ham pen to compensate.
Stephens isn't a right back and has the worst passing / distribution in the team.
Red has no confidence at all, but should have had 3 goals if he was more direct. Frustrating again always cutting in or even sprinting back in the wrong direction with the ball at one stage in the 2nd half. He did set Charlie up and he should have made it 2-0 but he shot wide,, then Hudd go up the other end and score.
Now Charlie is out, we have nobody to score. Gab did nothing when he came on and as fast and menacing Long is, he can't buy a goal.
If we don't tighten up all over the park and get some hunger back, the Spurs game will be worse than how Stoke performed there the other week !!

We looked distinctly unimpressive against a rather-ordinary looking Huddersfield outfit. Very nervy in the first 20 mins. yet gave everyone a chance to draw breath after Charlie Austin's stooping header.
There's really no defence for his foot-up challenge on the keeper. Although I'm glad we have cameras available and retrospective punishments. Saints have had their 's now and we can only hope that everyone learns from this, but to victimise Charlie may only be a forerunner to what is seen from Andy Carroll when he gets back into the WHam line-up, and some of those " tough guys" at Watford and Stoke.

As for Saints' lack of goals ...Words escape me. £50 million worth of "talent " - is that the word ? Whatever Redmond did well last season had deserted him now, and Gabbiadini seems to have lost it , whilst Boufals wonderful skills would be better used inside the box, and not on the halfway line.

IF the VvD deal comes off, then let's hope we sign , at least TWO strikers who can actually score. The only real question who will be manager come 31st January and have the chance to play them. MP's reign may be shorter than that if we don't have at least 2- 3 more points on the board come January 2nd. 2nd. It maybe a tough call, but that's the Premie League for you.
Don't bother having a competition about the line-up on Boxing Day..without Cedric, Bertrand and Austin
..the side practicallty picks itself. Everyone says we must turn the corner soon..but it looks like a long road until then.

Another sad performance from highly paid so called professional football players.I would say only Hojbjerg and Boufal showed any passion today. Defense a shambles all over the place no clue what so ever and as for Forster will he ever come out for a cross.Same mistakes week after week we never learn our lessons.I have supported Saints for 63 years since l was a lad of 10 and never have l seen a team pla Ying with less passion than this lot, over paid Prima Donna's

Woeful defending throughout - very depressing. Big changes needed next month. I remember us losing 5-1 at Spuds in our last relegation season. Is MP the new Steve Wigley? There is a certain haplessness or dare I say cluelessness about him that means we are not even the basics right. The marking and FF were rubbish for the first goal and a set of well placed dustbins could have defended the second one as well as their human equivalents did. I'm too down to even comment on the third, fourth and fifth. Puel was uninspiring but he wouldn't have allowed that to happen today. Spuds barely broke sweat and found themselves 4-0 up. Not good at all and goodness knows what will happen now. If the new owner has no money then we may be facing a repeat of the 2005 onwards fiasco - it is possible. Hopefully the VVD sale money will be spent on reinforcements - on this showing we need at least 4 in and as many out. Codge was a youngster when Redmond and Long last scored...

the owner after morgaging the club for over £700 million pounds might be a bit upset with his employees now

he is the only one who can solve these problems now

ITS HIS CLUB GET IT RIGHT & HE COULD BECOME A TRILLION AIR , BUT SINCE 1885 NEVER HAS THIS CLUB BEEN PROPERLY INVESTED IN OVER TO YOU NOW MR GAO I WILL BE WITH YOU ALL THE WAY IF YOU ARE RADICAL

Yes - before anyone points it out, Rednapp was manager by the time of the Spuds 5-1 but I think my point still holds.

Simply put, conceding soft goals and an inability to score is a worrying combination.
Big changes needed in jan. Getting rid of MP might be part of the solution, but that is not THE ONLY solution.
We have seen the dismantling of a decent team over the last few years and now we’re feeling it. We need at least 1 midfielder and 1 striker, desperately
