After the way its happened I'm not entirely pleased. Sounded like he was stalling until him and his brother got what they want
Who knows? Maybe we've offered more or they've realised they're not going to get what they want. Or, most likely we've met them somewhere in the middle.
Suspect we'd also add Deeney if Remy does leave.

If its as well as Remy then well done. Can see him and Kane (Spurs, loan) IN and Remy out. IF Remy goes to the scum it'll show (to me anyway) what a cnt he really is.

It sounds to me that there has been some proper hard-headed commercial negotiation (probably by all parties) which has been noticeably absent in the past.
If he does come in, all that will matter will be on the pitch.

how do you know we backed down, might have been the player for all we know
Just a little guess .If the Remy rumour is true it would seem to fit.. I'm just throwing it out there .Dont worry Dave I'm chilled . Like 2 little fonzies me and you..
His agent said last week that they weren't engaged in active negotiations with QPR.
So if that report is true, it looks like we've resurrected this maybe due to Remy leaving or maybe because we've failed to land other targets.
Either way, i think he's an interesting player who could be a good fit if signed and i'm reassured by the fact we've been scouting him for at least 6 months too.

Why do some assume that QPR have backed down.

Because that's the negative angle!
It Is What It Is !!

I'd definitely rather have Wickham. Yes this geezer may be related to the legend that is Andri, but 10 goals in 30 Eredivisie games last season is a really really average return, especially when he's at Ajax. Don't know anything about his style of play etc but I can't foresee him bringing forth a glut of goals purely through looking at his figures.
QPR - "shit but local"

Isn't that what everyone does when they take a new job? You don't go unless you're sure you're getting what you want …
No, not at all.
If you are thinking of switching jobs because of salary and ask for a massive pay rise, you aren't necessarily going to turn it down because the job offer is a reasonable, but slightly smaller pay rise.
Otherwise, the prospective employer says "no worries, I'll move onto the next candidate"

Err, if your employers was one of the best companies in Europe and their was risk attached to moving to their competitor, then yes....I would walk away if the money wasn't right.
