I think we should have kept him, he would have scored 43 goals in the second half of the season which would have won us the league. We would then have persuaded him to sign on for another four years and brought in Harry Kane to partner him. We'd be in the Champions League by now.

Nah, Charlie had pretty much checked out by that point (was starting to get into loads of barneys with fans IIRC) so we would have had a disinterested player leave for free 6 months later. So things would actually be worse now |  | | |
