I'm not Simon, but that was my book. I bought the book used on Amazon 15-18 months ago and it had that exact note in it (unless there's more than one Simon who received a signed book).
After i finished reading it, I left the book on a trolley by Union Street/Great Suffolk Street in SE1 where people leave and pick up old books/magazines for free. Someone must have nicked it and sold it on world of books.
