| Foden and Greenwood sent home! on 20:32 - Sep 7 by BazzaInTheLoft | There is almost no similarities between this case and your example. 1) These women weren’t call girls as far as anyone knows 2) People have sex / invite women up to their room all the time without consequence 3) Debauchery at a conference in 99% of cases won’t be spread all over the tabloids. Otherwise I agree it was stupid, but if we ban these two from future participation we (England) are cutting our noses off to spite our faces. I would have thought the embarrassment was lesson enough. It is a hell of a leap to conjure up a semi final rape accusation scenario. |
They shouldn’t be inviting anyone up to their rooms they are on England duty This is the pinnacle of your career and your treating it like a lads holiday , they have had an end of season holiday already haven’t they ? so do it there and do all the spit roasting you want It’s not outlandish to think in this day and age in that if you invite girls Up to your room whilst being a millionaire football that all sorts could happen , it could happen in a friendly or an international tournament, these two have already demonstrated they can’t go two days without having some female company , they also haven’t proved anything yet to say we need to pick them this was a chance to make a statement for the Euros and they have blown it You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

sorry, is that yet another euphemism i'm unaware of?

I think part of the problem is that we fans elevate England in a way that most players don’t. I’ve never thought that was healthy or useful and thy pressure has been part of the reason why we’ve failed for so long. Wanting them to be switched on all the time with England is unrealistic and frankly, pointless. Trying to get your end away in your downtime isn’t a proper indictment of the players is it? Outside of the Denmark game how has this nonsense really affected England? Not very much despite how stupid it is in this climate. Let’s not forgot that both of these two have won international tournaments unlike anyone else in the last 60 years. They have been around international squads their whole footballing life. They aren’t like Rickie Lambert or John Ruddy and it’s a good thing they are comfortable in an England squad situation. We’ve been through all this before with Gazza and the dentist chair or Lampard / Ferdinand / Dyer in Ibiza or wherever it was. Let’s give them a break eh. [Post edited 7 Sep 2020 22:03]

Lampard /dyer/ Ferdinand home video was done on a holiday , which I’ve said is fair enough if that’s what gives them their kicks The dentists chair was on the okay of venables & Bryan Robson so you can not compare either to this At the end of the day it’s about being a professional it’s not to much to ask is it ? there’s no pressure on them it’s a fantastic opportunity to prove yourself to be picked for a Euros or a World Cup and they don’t deserve to go to either imo because they can’t be trusted in a team environment Yeah shag all the birds you want in your spare time but not when your in an England squad on England duty There’s hundreds of players who would give their right arms for the opportunity and all they can think of is getting laid

Whatever the reason, and whatever the circumstances, open season on England players has never got us anywhere. [Post edited 7 Sep 2020 23:29]
