I always say Queens Park Rangers to atart with & then shorten it to Rangers.
I detest the use of our initials & can't remember using them apart from in songs or chants.
As an old man I have no memory of the media or supporters referring to us by them when I was younger, apart from the Football League calling the 1967 League Cup final the alphabet final!

Preston use PNE in their chant (same tune as the QPR, QPR one) but I don't think they would say they are a PNE fan.
So in that sense we are quite unique (although I've never heard about the snobbery of referring to yourself as a QPR fan, which I'd have thought most fans do?) |  |
