Been making my own daily since lockdown 1 and saved a fortune. But which is best? At the moment I am favouring corned beef in crusty white bread doorsteps- but that had been a favourite since about 1976. What is the LFW sandwich of choice?
Calories in the second one, to the nearest 1,000? (Sorry, on a diet, having to log everything I eat.)
I once went to a Serie C1 game at a place called Montevarchi in Tuscany. It was the town festival that weekend, so i was able to pick up an enormous porky roll in the park on the way to the ground. Much more memorable than the game. The other great thing from that day was the senior police officer in charge of containing 50 away fans wore an immaculate blazer, shirt & tie and flannels, topped off with a huge black Darth Vader riot helmet.
I have to second Ted's comment that it's all about the bread Been making my own since the first lockdown and it's so tasty, it really doesn't matter what you put in it.
There's a place round the corner from the City Ground that does amazing pork baps. My Forest mate took me to it one year before a midweeker and I ended-up having about four of them for my tea. I don't eat meat anymore, but this thread is really, really making me want a sausage bap from the Butchers at Leadenhall.
A place in Nottingham with amazing baps? I think a few of us have been there pre/post match...
The last company I worked at had a brilliant canteen and there was one time when they had dolcelatte, salad and chutney sandwiches. Not very authentic, but delicious all the same.
When I worked in Coventry, a lot of my colleagues were big fans of pork and stuffing rolls which they used to get from the local butchers.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
