Story for the bored.
I was on the line for an Isthmian U23s. Free kick halfway in half, on the right, my side.
Defence lines up level with penalty spot. I'm obviously in line with them. Ball comes in good header, GK saves on the line? I can't give goal as couldn't see if over the line.
Few minutes later, Mr Know It All about 20 yards behind me " You couldn't give that goal, could you lino, you weren't level"
Now, how could I get 'level' with a header from 12 yards to the goaline in about half a second????
Provoked I had to say " Nor were you!"
Mr smart alec comes back with " I'm not being paid to am I? Oh and that was a penalty by the way" Earlier 'incident - again I WAS level this time right in front of me - him - 20/30 yards away!
He spent the rest of the half telling everyone what Arteta was doing wrong at Arsenal and how he should manage Ouzil!!!!!! | | | |
