Who could be our unexpected star this season. 17:40 - Jul 22 with 5230 viewsnumptydumpty

I got three names to me that could do way better than expected.

One I think actually is very unlikely to be here, sure he will go out on loan.

That is Faysal Bettache.
From all I have seen of this guy, he seems a very tidy player, strong considering his size, and very energetic and great at recycling possession. I personally got high hopes he will certainly be one to keep an eye out for.

Albert Adomah
I think the fact this guy is a childhood fan of our club and the excitement in his voice joining our club could push his performances especially at home to a higher level. Always seems to be threatening coming on as sub and has had a successful career. Not our usual signing of recent times but the experience and the enthusiasm of Albert playing in front of the loft, we could all imagine if it was ourselves it would push us to perform way better than in front of a wet and windy midweek crowd at Barnsley.

George Thomas
Another guy that totally went under the radar. But looks strong, found space in attacking areas and linked up well with others, albeit in generally very short cameos.
I was thinking possibly at times last season he may not make it here but the things he did when called upon, suggested to me he could step up given opportunities.

Who do others think could be an unexpected big performer this season.

There's definitely a few possibilities.

Well it seems that way right now !!!!!

Here's hoping...🙃🙃🙃

Nobody’s mentioned him so I will Andre Dozzell.

Great opportunity to shine with Steff alongside him.

Chris Willock for me.
Took a while to settle but is getting stronger and he is quick. Needs to add more goals but if he does that he'll be on the radar of a few PL teams.

I think he probably already is....

Never knowingly understood

Like everyone else said Willock. Chair, JoJo and him will cause a lot of problems for teams in this division.

Bettache may not get loaned out now that Fields is injured so, he could stay for 3-4 months and in that time establish himself. I hope so, this kid is class, he is ready for the 1st team.

With Bonne being loaned out, it looks like Kelman is been given the chance to establish himself in the first team. Let's hope he comes good.

Dieng. He has to keep to the standard he set last season and stay fit for the entire year ahead if we're gonna do anything. That said, I think he will maintain those standards, fingers crossed on injuries! This could be a fantastic session.

I didn’t put Willock because I don’t him doing well would be at all unexpected. He was class the entire second half of the season.

On today’s performance, I’m going for Odabajo.

Was an amazing performance from Odabajo. And what a goal. Wasn't a top man utd team but four or five top class professionals on there and were outplayed

But seen as that was an audition for Moses.

It's a yes from me !!!!

He looked class and was impressed by his ability to use his speed to get back to prevent dangerous situations.

Interestingly he seemed to favour his left peg at times - not just for his wonder-goal. Is he a lefty playing on the righty?

Yes, I'm afraid it is. You'll now have to attend Braintree games for the whole season to ensure we keep winning.

Mark Warburton if he actually does get us promoted.

Willock was excellent today. Has so much confidence now, his quality is shining through.

Odubajo was very good at getting up and down and that goal!

Bettache had some great runs with the ball when he came on.
