Will be surprised if Chelsea would sell tho.

Agreed, no way they will sell to Newcastle as that may affect their Champ league places trying to beat teams like them. Whereas Palace are a more beatable team. And yes Chelsea do think like that when they loan out players. Hence you won't see their players at any of the other top 6 clubs. They loan out to drag down the others not them and it will be the same policy for selling as well. If Newcastle do buy him and I think this is all a load of nonsense paper talk, then that will be £16m + £9m, making a total of £25m we have made from him. It would also mean we would not have to sell anyone for next season. An awesome outcome. But it won't happen. Palace would do it so, they could buy Gallager at probably around £40m. As they would have £31m to do it with. So, only £9m for him and they have Olise already to replace eze. Bargain.

Eze -back today for Palace U23's on 12:18 - Feb 17 by Esox_Lucius | Is the add on 20% of the amount he is sold for or 20% of any profit CPFC make? |
I always thought the sell on clause applied to the profit.

Depends what the deal done was (stating the obvious sorry) and I believe, like with Sterling, this is 20% of whatever they get for him.

Sterling went for peanuts, meaning all the Liverpool transfer was virtually profit- a rather unusual scenario.

true, but the deal was 20% of whatever, not 20% of the profit.

Yes it does in most cases.
Eze -back today for Palace U23's on 17:22 - Feb 17 with 916 views | Juzzie | I heard many moons ago that Bros' manager took his cut before costs deducted. So when they did their last gig (if you can call it that) at Wembley stadium by the time he'd had his 20% then all the other costs taken out (stadium hire, sound, light, catering etc etc etc) the three group members came out with nothing to show for it!
