And it's not 'just a guess' - it doesn't take a genius to work out if you have paid circa £2m for a defender who has got better in 18 months and is now seen as a top defender in a higher division, and with no need to sell for financial reasons, that his value *to us* which is important here, is going to be much higher than £3m, which represents a negligible profit, of which some would go to Oxford and of which most would be ploughed into a replacement. It makes no sense on any level. Therefore £5m minimum, probably more like £6m is the fee QPR would likely demand - at this time - to any interested party. If no one wants to pay that, he isn't going anywhere, if they do, well then his valuation has been met. |
