Indeed, but a couple of years back I didn't think anybody would touch Melbourne for years to come.


I suppose the difference is that Melbourne rely on other people being too dumb to recognise the potential in their own young players to allow them to pick them up on the rebound while Penrith have them flowing up from Under 8s onwards.

It’s interesting call Sheen as Warriors definitely at top of the Dumb ladder.
Top talent leaving NZ early or even worse after initial season or two.
Not to mention binning Ivan Cleary who has shown he can build a squad/pipeline.
Also struggle to get Aussie talent to cross Tasman without paying stupid money.
Really interesting to see how Panthers go minus couple of players & couple of coaches - don’t see them outside Top4 but should close gap.
