The World Cup final. 18:49 - Dec 17 with 18125 viewsMick_S

Anyone else not realise kick off is at 3:00 and has booked in for work tomorrow? I just assumed it would be an early evening start. I’m Tim Sherwood, I am.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

What a goal, though, France sliced open and Di Maria provides a clinical finish, before bursting into tears.

Lovely goal.

Di Maria looks like one of the Bash Street kids.

A part of me thinks when Brighton signed that Alexis MacAllister, they stuck in one of those silly clauses where they suddenly have to pay loads more if he wins the world cup and thought "yeah but, thats never going to happen so no worries"

The Argentinians appear to be planning some changes. They're going to bring on three PNE players

Superb second goal, though criminal of France to let them come through the middle (again!) so easily.

France have been awful.
We put more effort vs Burnley.

Amazing what happens when you have a proper go at this French side, shame we weren't brave enough to do it. I wonder how Argentina will approach the 2nd half, keep it tight & break on France or carry on as they are.

Whilst I’m no big fan of Argentina, they are great to watch - and there’s only so many times France can be second best in a game and expect to win.

I think the outrageous Dutch free kick in the dying seconds was my favourite. You need nerves of steel to attempt a complicated routine like that when it's do or die.

Liam Brady just said on RTE that it's the best World Cup Final team goal of all time, even better than Carlos Alberto's. A big call!

Think we dodged a bullet not getting to the final. We would be the ones getting bum- gobbed like France are. As much as I detest the Argentina team, they are very good.

Apparently, the French squad has been hit by a virus. A cruel blow to them if true.
