| Hard to Accept But We Have Been Left Behind 08:44 - Mar 7 with 7722 views | NorthantsHoop | Watching the Brentford v Fulham game last night how they have both come on in recent years, players, investments, stadium, profile etc, while we languish away as the forgotten team in West London, bit sad really. | | | | |

| Hard to Accept But We Have Been Left Behind on 16:18 - Mar 7 by Loyalitat | We only have ourselves to blame. I'm certain that there's nobody currently playing for Brentford who is on the ridiculous amount of money we played dross like Joey Barton 12 years ago. Also, players like Ethan Pinnock would not have been considered good enough for the premier league if he were at QPR. A player who was playing for Dulwich Hamlet about 7 years ago. Instead, we would have wasted substantial amounts of money on premier league dross. Fulham with Tim Ream is another case in point. Many a person has said in the past that he can't play in the premier league. Yet both players have played their part to the point that their teams can already plan for another season in the premier league. Well done to both of them and their respective clubs, especially Brentford for managing their premier league largesse more sensibly than we did. [Post edited 7 Mar 2023 17:21]

We tried to sign Tim Ream but he turned us down to go to Fulham

I know they are doing quite well but don't follow their results and would have no idea how many points they have or exactly where in the league they are.

Same as that. I don't get it. I mean, I hate Chelsea, and i don't even know where they are in their table.

| Hard to Accept But We Have Been Left Behind on 11:17 - Mar 7 by aston_hoop | The way I see it, the clubs in the OP have peaked now. Thats it for them, a push for Europe. Its fantastic for them, something to cherish for years and something I'd love, but they've peaked and that means the only way is down. They're not going to start eating at the top table with the Middle Eastern Premier League 'franchises' be it the Emirati Blues, The Saudi Magpies or the future Qatari reds. But the fans will start to get a bit restless and you just never know, especially at Fulham, the owners might be under pressure to throw money at things and capitulate again. These things go round in circles. Its their day this decade, it'll be the next bunch of well run clubs next decade. |
This. Not forgetting that we played in Europe nearly 40 years ago so about time they tried to catch up. Its probably as good as it gets for them right now and ironically their new stadium probably curtails future gowth as its so small.

| Hard to Accept But We Have Been Left Behind on 09:26 - Mar 7 by DejR_vu | In fairness Brian, there is very little about the club to be happy about atm, so it’s natural that there will be similar threads. Personally, it’s time for me to take a break from QPR. I’ve been a season ticket holder for donkeys years, resolved not to renew a few years ago but did, in the end, to see the Eze / Chair / Bright team develop. But, going to games ruins my weekends. It’s so much worse being there and witnessing it. Apart from GA’s first game, I’ve barely been since Cardiff away. I want to go at the weekend to see Ale, but can’t face it. I’m out, not sure if/when I’ll be back. |
That just about sums up how I feel too. I can’t bring myself to watching them again this season. I do not watch the EFL or highlights anymore. As for next season, I will cancel my ST direct debit in April and don’t plan on watching any English football, just maybe a few games in European leagues such as Serie A, La Liga and one or two other countries, especially if QPR get relegated. Then maybe gradually wean myself off from watching football altogether.

No disrespect intended but if that's how you feel, shouldn't you start by giving this forum a miss. There is enough negativity around for us who are staying and we really don't need to be dragged further down by your surrender.
