So why does he always get overlooked or is not even in the squad when fit.
From the game at West Brom in short time on the pitch, he nearly scored with a great diving header and then set up Dozzell with an opportunity that nearly went in also.
Doesn't though ever start and if on the bench, only ever comes on for ten minutes max.

Richards is a local lad, comes from a good family, but was a bit of a teenage prodigy (Man City move at 14) and hopefully he hasn't already earnt so much money he doesn't have the desire to grind it out week in week out in the Championship.
I remain hopeful as cameo's to date show he's an intelligent footballer and if Willock or Chair are sold we'll be relying on him to step up. |  | | |

We can't (rightly) complain all season about players never playing, and then be keen for us to sign the biggest culprit of the lot. I agree he looks decent at times, but that amounts to what, probably under 100 touches all season? He's made of tissue paper and doesn't seem to have the mentality for it.
