I've no idea if this works but here is a natural approach to aphid control I recently read about:

After a bad case of aphids, I brought a box of ladybirds for my allotment fruit trees. I released them at the base of the trees as intructed and watched them all fck off into the sky almost instantly.
Well, that was that, I thought. I came back about 48 hours later and they were all over the trees eating aphids and the entire problem cleared up in a week.
