I wouldn't be changing manager and Hunter has pretty much said what I think on the issue but I did find his change yesterday taking off Smyth and playing Ashby as a right winger pretty bizarre |

It would be very silly if the Club got rid of MC......we have been missing at least 5 starters recently and that has hurt us badly because the replacements, including the ex Spurs boy, are not good enough by far. Whatever happens including relegation we must not sack Marti. He is an extremely good coach and the players are playing for him. We are in this mess because of injuries and poor recruitment and those will still be there for any new manager.
We have just given him a new contract so to release him now will be expensive for a club in our financial position and who the hell in their right mind would want the job at this circus. | | | |

Still of the mind we stick with Marti and see how it goes, but he will be on very difficult ground if we get soundly beaten at Cardiff and Watford. Ironically in the last few seasons the games against Watford have been either make or break for the season/manager. In the covid season of 2020/21 in the January 2021 Warburton's team with a newly signed Austin and couple of others, big win there after a difficult period. In the Beale period early season 2022, a big win at Watford and we went on a great run until the wheels came off with Beale. In March 2023 the first win for Ainsworth a scrappy 1-0 at home which reversed an awful run of defeats and finally the disastrous first game of the season in 2023/24 with that 4-0 walloping for us at Watford, which pretty much did for Ainsworth in my opinion. So will history repeat itself, if it does, hopefully it will fall Marti's way and we can get a positive result at Watford. Expecting a draw at Cardiff because that is what we are good at this season. Then he also played some decent passes, think he only lost it once and kept the play moving. Morgan just runs around like a bit of a headless chicken for me and we lost our shape. | | | |

Well I wasn’t looking at the stats, it was just how I saw the game but I have now. Madsen made 4 key passes and Morgan Nil. Madsen had 37 touches and was playing in an advanced role. Madsen had same number as touches as Field and was on the pitch for less time. | | | |

Yeah how I saw it. Morgan did well against Coventry and Sunderland but since then he’s been poor. Against Boro, he left Varane completely on his own in the middle. And yesterday, he just looked so rushed and no composure. I’m just hoping / praying than this is start of something. To get out of this mess, we need Madsen to be good for us in creativity and goals. | | | |

I really liked Morrison yesterday. I thought he stepped onto the opposition well rather than hanging off and backing off as our defenders are too prone to doing most of the time. He was positive and aggressive. Looked well up for it in the conditions. | | | |

He also left 'his man' many times to snuff out danger elsewhere. My favourite trait for a defender. Takes courage and integrity. | |

The Morrison performance does show that we have been very unlucky this season. He has surgery just as the JCS goes down injured. Completely disrupts the central defence and in turn midfield with field having to move back. | | | |

Perhaps it was Ashby who was giving the ball away more often than not, not being at the match and watching on a stream, perhaps it was. | | | |
