Loved him, two hours chalking his cue whilst lining up a straight red, as The Hurricane was having a fit the other side of the table. Nothing put him off his (snail paced) stride.
Great guy by all accounts. RIP.

Terry Griffiths RIP on 12:07 - Dec 2 with 1614 views
I used to attend the Rothmans Grand Prix tournament at the Hexagon Centre in Reading in the 80s.
One particular night Terry Griffiths was playing Eddie Charlton. The match went on until 4am in the morning and the only three people left in the arena other than the officials, players and broadcasting staff were three local homeless guys who were enjoying the peace, quiet and warmth in the studio arena and having a nice and comfortable snooze.
If I needed to drink nine pints in order to play a game of snooker, I'd also need an extra long rest, to enable me to play my shots while holed up in the loo
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
