Hope that we pick an attacking formation with Bird and Kairo/ Hendo. Burger is also worth another start at home.

Also that we take our opportunities when they are presented rather than being shot shy and trying to walk it into the net.

That was a remarkable run that ended with us top of division 3.

Big Reg and Dennis Butler each scored 7 goals in that run of games. Looked like the run was coming to an end in the Reading game when we went 2-0 down. comeback topped off by Derek Ryders only goal for the Dale in 185 games he played.

The run ended at Halifax where we lost 3-1 but we beat Mansfield in our next home game to make it 5 home wins on the trot. The Mansfield game was our 10th home game and brought the total attendance to over 76000.

No wonder Bryan Adams sang that the year of 69 was “ the best year of my life”
