Unfortunately wherever we continue or not to ply our trade, some time soon, we will experience the horrors of this extremely poor current way to decide borderline decisions

Sorry people, some day soon even at the Rangers Stadium, will such a refereeing tool be used !!!!

I don't think giving people who can't operate a whistle or a flag a complicated bit of video equipment is going to improve the situation.

And Spurs playing square passes in their own half during injury time when they need a goal, drove me made, modern football is rubbish

Totally agree. Had to turn off Liverpool v Everton yesterday. What a dire spectacle. Every foul now needs all 22 players to gather round and argue about it for a minute. Then it's broken up and another minute before everyone's ready etc. And don't get me started on Jota"s language to the officials over a throw in. Should have been red carded. Boring.

I can’t see VAR being used in the championship as you’d need another 12 qualified(?) refs looking at tv screens somewhere as well as the existing 12 covering the matches themselves.
Maybe for the playoffs,but that won’t affect us any time soon.

For me VAR sucks some of the enjoyment out of watching football live. I agree with goal line technology as that happens quickly and perhaps VAR for clear and obvious errors but anything else you stay with the on field decision including marginal offsides (umpires call in cricket) as how do we know the exact moment a ball is kicked.

Out of habit the first thing I do when Rangers score is look at the linesman if his flag is down we celebrate.

Imagine Bobby Zamora's goal being chalked off after 5 minutes deliberation because Hoilett got a bit of Buxton before getting the ball.

I can't understand why goal line technology can work instantly, yet someone being offside or onside isn't.

The timing of pass and freezed frame ahead at that time could easily be determined instantly as with goal line technology and if it's a toenail offside stick with the onfield decision ie add couple inches to where the line is drawn.

With today's technologies they easily could have the capabilities to do this instantly.

I would also not pick up on a decision if a foul committed couple seconds before. Some power should be with the infield referee unless it's blatantly obviously wrong.

As said over ruling should only happen in these cases.

This is stated but never followed

Ie clear and obvious is never abided to...

In the same way in cricket where umpires call is the decision if close !!!

Was at Brighton v Southampton earlier in the season, Friday night game the night before we played Watford. Southampton 'scored' a goal, cue 5 minutes of the screen saying 'VAR Check in Progress'. We ended up going onto the BBC website, on the Sky Sports website, on bloody Twitter in that time just to try and find out why it was being checked, what was happening, what it was all about. In the end, no goal. Still never really found out why. Stupid bloody system and ruins games. If it comes to the Championship, I'm not sure I could be bothered to watch.

Right idea (remember Lampards goal vs Germany?) Bit implemented by FIFA, so no surprise whatsoever its a disaster

Should knly overrule clear and obvious mistakes. Limit it to 30 seconds to overturn or stick with the on field decision. The equivalent of umpires call in Cricket. Its not that difficult to fix.
